Western style "izakaya" restaurant in Tama Plaza

Tama Plaza is a rich and famous residential area on the Tokyu Den-En Toshi Line.
You can find many signs of celebrity around the station, families walking happily, elderly strolling with their dogs and well adjusted boys and girls carrying on with their day.
This is typical of any day in Tama Plaza.

But there is more to Tama Plaza, than the picture described above.
One "Izakaya" restaurant can show you another side to this wonderfully fashionable town..

Owner & chef, Kazuyuki Takeuchi opened WARAKU in 1995, after working at the Imperial Hotel Restaurant as a cook. His vision was to widen the French cuisine in a more familiar style.

For example, although WARAKU is an izakaya, it prefers "Omelet" to "Rolled Egg" and "Carpaccio" to "Sashimi", giving you some aroma of Paris.

WARAKU has many regular patrons and it may make you hesitate to visit there for the first time but don't be afraid, you will not regret it.
On your next visit, please ask one of patrons next to you at the counter, "how many years have you been coming here?".
Don't be surprised if some say "every week for 10 years" while others will reply "this is just my third visit."
WARAKU is very accessible.

This web site introduces WARAKU's restaurant in detail.
Welcome and let's enjoy WARAKU, together.
